(First impression through Southern Baptist cultural sensibilities): I don't get what's supposed to be funny about this cartoon. It would have been funnier if after slamming the door between frame 1 and 2, if the outhouse fell over in frame 3.

I'm always a little suspicious of BC strips, though. Comes from said Southern Baptist cultural sensibilities.

Now, if either the moon in the sky or the one on the door had a star by it, I would have instantly taken the more insidious possible meaning. (I'd already read the WP article, so my stated first impression is probably tainted.) However, given the ostensible symbolism of that one awhile back with a lighted menorah having each of its candles extinguished with each of Jesus' final sentences on the cross, and then becoming a cross, along with other blatant crosses and such, I think this might be a little subtle for Hart.

I didn't read this comic when it originally ran, I avoid B.C., I don't think it's very funny and disagree with Hart's approach to evangalizing.
