Burning documents: not just for corporations
Nattily attired in a pencil-striped suit, a smiling, polite Japanese ushered the reporters off the grounds. . . ."What were you burning in the back?" queried a reporter.
"Dear sir," he said, "those, of course, were my love letters. I hope you will not jump to the hasty conclusion that they were diplomatic documents."
