You don't have to go home, but you can't stay here

The federales are letting out three hours early and there's a rumor metro will close at 4. I hereby take back everything I said earlier about how D.C. finally got its severe weather act together.

One final piece of advice: Steer into the skid.

So, we're on a "liberal leave early" policy. WTF's that about? Means I can leave, but only if I'm afraid I'm going to get stuck at work. And if I leave, I'm supposed to take work home?

So much for a snow day.

No, liberal leave means that you can only leave if you're a Democrat. It's one of those perks assigned to political parties, just like how you can only get a Pentagon contract if you're a Republican.
