20 Second Bar Review - Peyote Cafe
2319 18th Street NW
A group of pals headed out on Friday for a night of boozing and Karaoke in Adams Morgan. Despite a few initial snags in our planning (Peyote Cafe doesn't open till about 8:30, we arrived at 5:30) it was a good night out.
The atmosphere was quite laid back and the place didn't get too full--a rarity for Adams Morgan on a Friday. While they've got a fairly comprehensive song list for your crooning pleasure, no one appeared to take the Karaoke too seriously (which is nice for those of us with questionable vocal talent). All in all, a good time.

It smelled like vomit.

i'm going to have to go with randolph on this one. we had a good time because we were there with a fun group of people (and being trashed doesn't hurt), but the place was a nasty little dive, and not in a good way.

It was fun. It was nasty, though, which wouldn't have bothered me nearly as much had it been cheap.

My friend was attacked by a man who runs the karaoke there. The manager didn't do a thing about it -- told her she was lying. DO NOT GO TO THIS BAR.

Some jerk off named Los kept singing Elvis songs. He wasn't very good.
