My wingnut boss is currently bloviating on how "The Passion" is related to how the government is behaving today. Of course, he does not connect "the government" to his wingnutty portion of the Republican party. And he admits to having gone into the movie ignorant of the details of the story in the Gospels. So, being a good wingnut, he bought that "The Passion" is a "faithful" retelling of what's in Matthew, Mark, Luke and John (not that you can string them all into one detailed narrative; they all tell the story a bit differently), despite the heavy influence of the visions from a 19th century German nun who believed that Jews routinely killed Christian children for their blood to use in rituals.
Make it stop.....

I do absolutely love the anti-depressants ad on the same panel, though. What do those of us raised in the target audience for that movie sometimes need?
