Ah, the memories...

I remember renting it in HS while my parents were out of town and watching it with my best friend, and our boyfriends, who went to Catholic school in Houston together, in my living room while my grandmother was staying in my parents' room, occupied by cigarettes, scotch and the Miss America pageant. I'm sure Gaga would have found it "ugly and tacky," but she had the good sense to leave us to our own devices.

Eric (the one I was dating) found it unbearably funny. I winced a bit and felt a tad guilty for also thinking it was funny. Our "good" Catholic friends were so offended they made us turn it off. They then proceeded to sneak off to do stuff we probably hadn't even thought of at that point.

We resumed watching, because I decided it was better for Gaga to see me watching smut than making out on the couch when she came out to top off her scotch.
