You down with ICC

Nope, not me.

That's because the Inter-County Connector between I-95 and I-270 is the single most wasteful highway project in America, according to Taxpayers for Common Sense.

It's a sham project that's just a way to force the construction of an outer beltway.

Three or four years ago, I would have been all for the ICC, and still was somewhat positive towards it when I started working in this area two years ago.

Now, however, having seen NoVA and reflected a little more on what I saw in Dallas and Houston while growing up in Texas, I've come to the conclusion that traffic simply fills up whatever road is available and there will always be people eager to buy a house within a half-hour's drive of work. Trouble is, once lots of people buy those houses that are now only a half-hour from work due to the glorious new road, that half-hour eventually becomes an hour.
