Wasted labor

Did anyone else notice the hordes of college students in DNC t-shirts registering voters on busy D.C. streets yesterday?

Given the fact that our three electoral votes would go to a dead rat (or Vermin Supreme, for that matter) should the Democratic Party nominate it, it seems like those enthusiastic volunteers would be better-utilized going somewhere competitive.

But it makes everyone feel good about themselves, so I say it do it.

Besides, they'll need to register a lot of people to counter my "super" vote.

Totally agree. I saw one guy talking to a 50something homeowner watering his lawn in Adams-Morgan for at least 10 minutes today (they were talking when I went up to the drugstore and they were still at it as I returned). Talk about wasting time preaching to the choir!
