I'm not the Marion kind
I have just one thing to say in regards to Ward 8's new councilman:
Washington, D.C., will not get representation in Congress unless and until the rest of the country will be sure that they won't turn on C-SPAN and see the man smoking crack with the prostitute in the picture above making a speech.

Washington DC will also not get representation in Congress unless and until the entire midwest and most of the south suddenly become very interested in having another Democrat in Congress and two more in the Senate. (i.e., unless and until Hell freezes over)

I would say a compromise would be offering DC a seat in the House of Representatives, and have our delegate added to the Maryland delegation.
