Sorry to rain on your home opener

The Baltimore Sun's Dan Rodricks on the Nats' future:

"Imagine late summer, 2010. Imagine 95 degrees and 98 percent humidity along the fetid Anacostia, and the Nationals' record is 41-88, and the scheduled starting pitcher has an ERA of 11.78. How many D.C. lobbyists and lawyers are going to be letting their starched shirts wilt in the box seats then?

Peace, out. "

See, that's why we need to raid the municipal treasury for another $500 billion for a retractable-roof stadium and exotic-looking women to rhythmically wave palm fronds to cool season ticket holders. </sarcasm>

Wow, that guy sure is right. Damn I wish I lived up there in the temparate zone that is Baltimore. That 40-odd miles sure makes a hell of a difference in the summer difference. I mean baltimore summers are just soooo much nicer. And baltimore harbor is just so clean.

That guy is a pure douche-bag. Fuck Dan Rodricks. This fuckwit just insulted this whole town, especially those of us who have financially supported his perennially-bottom dwelling Os.

I could go on, but I have actual work to do. Fuck him.

best part is that the moron tries to argue that all the inbreds from Dundalk have been shut out of attending games because lobbyists from DC were buying up all the tickets. The only O's games that sell out these days are against the Red Sox and Yankees...and BTW, O's fans are outnumbered at those games.

RFK isn't much, to be sure...but as a sporting venue, it sure beats that alleged indoor arena in Baltimore (you know, the one with a stage). Instead of imploding the Capital Centre, it should have been towed up there.

Tell Mr. Rodrick to go and bowl some duckpins to relieve his envy.
