Important Bluestate note

Yes, I read this (last item).

No, Jenna Bush will not be at our Saint-Ex event on May 24.

Not even if she asks nicely.

Why? Because she will request "Candyshop."* I just know it.

*Yes, there are some people, notably my neighbors K and K, whom I would like to see there and who would request "Candyshop" if given the chance. It's called a double standard and you should start getting used to it.

OK, so no Candyshop, but how would you feel about Disco Inferno? There's no denying Fifty's greatest, man. Right after I'll ask for Slow Hands, Finding Out True Love Is Blind, Spitting Games, Fall on Me, E-Pro Quattro, Reason Is Treason, or something even hipper. But Disco Inferno is a must.

I still can only barely tell the difference between Candyshop and Magic Stick.

Is it just me, or don't people with songs called "Candyshop" and "Disco Inferno" usually have real estate on Fire Island?

If so, then jenna is in double trouble.

if anyone asks really nicely, i could be persuaded to play "disco inferno," much to the horror of the rest of bluestate and most of the attendees.

and speak for yourself, DCSOB, i'd love it if a bush twin showed up to one of our gigs -- think of all the press we'd get.

Oh, please, if you play Disco Inferno late enough in the evening, everyone's secret booty shaker will come out and love the hell out of it. Guaranteed.

Then you can play more Arcade Fire, Faint, Postal Service, whatevs.

C'mon now, if you're going to play any hip-hop, it has to be T.I.'s "Bring Em Out"... song is bananas!
